What’s the plan for Cinema Ministry Productions?

When I announced that I was creating Cinema Ministry Productions, I mostly delved into the reasoning behind that and not so much into the plan going forward. So in my first blog post, I want to provide some transparency and a glimpse of my vision for this company going forward. House for the Broken is our first major project and it is currently in post production.

House for the Broken will be an ongoing series as we are planning to produce multiple seasons. We have feature length films in development along with a documentary. We will also produce short form content such as skits and short films which touch on popular topics and discussions surrounding the faith community with the purpose of highlighting scripture or causing thoughtful conversation on an array of topics. We have a podcast in the works that will be used to breakdown scripture and highlight stories of redemption and deliverance.

As the name clearly states, we plan to use this company as a Cinema Ministry. Using narrative projects as a way to spread the gospel, highlight truth and dispel false narratives through informed apologetics, research and exegesis of scripture. The work we produce may upset some people, it may offend some people. The work we produce may be graphic and shocking in a way “faith based” content has never dared to venture. With that being said, everything we produce will be held accountable by scripture and we will also be held accountable by our church and elders as commanded by scripture. The works we produce may be entertaining, but the sole purpose and principle behind everything we do is to glorify God, minister and progress the kingdom.

We welcome actors, crew members and volunteers who would love to help us as we produce content in the near future. We are self financed, some projects may be paid and some projects may be unpaid, but if you have a heart to serve feel free to join our newsletter and assist us on this journey. If you feel led to donate, we don’t require it but we will surely use whatever donations we receive to feed cast, pay for some gas and assist in financing the most expensive artform known to man.

I’m excited about the future of this company and I know God will provide as we live out our calling. I hope the work we produce impacts someone, disciples someone and hopefully inspires someone. The goal is not entertainment or fame. If one soul is saved by the works we produce, it makes anything we do from the point forward, a success.
